Kognes Park is a vibrant Noise-Pop trio hailing from the heart of Medan, Indonesia. Comprising Syarfan Khair (vocals, guitar), Daniel Alessandro (bass), and Denis Artha (guitar), this dynamic trio collectively emerged from the dynamic musical landscape of their hometown. Their journey kicked-off when they made their debut appearance on Arsip Sinar Pagi, a music compilation from Medan released by Gabe Gabe Tapes back in 2020. Now, armed with an EP poised to make waves, Kognes Park returns to the spotlight.
Picture this: the EP was crafted in the intimate setting of a painting room in Syarfan’s house. Armed with nothing but modest gears and a trusty, worn-out laptop, Kognes Park cooked up a sonic feast that effortlessly captures the raw emotions of our times. Imagine melancholic pop melodies intertwining seamlessly with crispy distortion and subtle glitch elements reminiscent of The Radio Dept. colliding with Sweet Trip.
